Blogging Resources

Some posts on this website contain affiliate links. I receive a small commission if you use the links at no extra cost to you.

I’ve been a travel blogger for almost 5 years now, and this is my second website. And I also have to admit I did so many things wrongly on my first website.

I didn’t look at SEO and then worried my posts were not read. I created the website on the wrong theme and then had to find workarounds for any website changes. And I even didn’t think about little monetization.

I’m not saying I’m super smart now, but for sure I’ve learned quite a lot since then and can recommend a few tools that make the life of every blogger easier.

Theme: Ashe Pro

Ashe Pro is what I use on this website. Simple, clean, and easy. And it has a few design options (available after the purchase). It’s not a big investment, and you buy it once.

Elementor

It has a basic-free version and a pro version. At the start, I created my website on the wrong theme, totally not adjustable, for example, by adding the shop. So I had to find workarounds, and Elementor saved me a lot of time and, more importantly, nerves. It’s a builder, and with easy drag and drop, you can create professional-looking websites.

RankIQ

SEO, so optimising your blog posts so that they are easily found in search engines is important. You can search for key words, optimise articles, and write well and from your real experience at the same time. In fact, this is exactly what you should do.

In RankIQ, there are long lists of keywords for many different blog niches (it’s not only for travel topics). Additionally, after running a report, you know how often key words are searched and how quickly the article can get positioned. You also have content optimisation tool which helps you optimise your articles. Plus the Facebook community, with bloggers from all over the world, the ones you are only starting and the ones who already have huge businesses based on their blogs.

The tool is for writing in English, and I really recommend it. Check it out here.

Travelpayouts

If you spend a lot of time on your blog, you want to monetize it even a bit so that at least blog expenses pay back. I haven’t done it for long; imagine, I even didn’t know about the affiliation option. Then I found out about it but got overwhelmed. Many websites, systems, accounts, and passwords, more than in a corporate job. But there is one tool that’s absolutely helpful in this, Travelpayouts. You can create the account quickly, and it’s for every blogger, even without a big audience. And you have many travel affiliate programs in one place.

There is no need to jump from one to another anymore. If you are a travel blogger or an aspiring one, Travelpayout is a tool for you.

Hosting

You need to buy a domain and hosting. I’m a total fan of my hosting, Zenbox. However, it’s a Polish company, so I believe it’s not that useful for you. In case you are Polish blogger (Hi-Cześć!), I absolutely recommend them; they just have great customer service.

The last thing you need is…

a lot of patience. Like, seriously, a lot.

Blogging is not a sprint; it’s a marathon.

Good luck! (We are in this together😊).
